Abstract keyboard_arrow_down

Hiking is very popular in Switzerland and has a positive impact on health. The other side of the coin is that every year, around 50 people in Switzerland lose their lives in a hiking or mountain hiking accident. Until now, only fragmentary knowledge has been available to develop and implement effective prevention measures. This is why the study presented here has determined the key influencing factors in mountain hiking, analysed the characteristics of mountain hikers with regard to potential risk factors and derived possible prevention measures
